East Gwillimbury Homes
Detached homes can be considered to be the product of the blood, sweat, and tears of a community, for a lot of the regions north and west of the city of Toronto (not to mention the city itself) often have roots in the province's long history. East Gwillimbury is, to a degree, one of these places. Just like any good town, where there was once nothing but rolling plains and untracked forests... now, people came and began building their homes there, and a town was born. Much was the case of East Gwillimbury, but it has remained on the smaller side, despite its important location. Essentially built around the intersection of Leslie Street and Mt Albert Road, this town is at a crossroads of being in-between three very important large towns/cities: Barrie, Newmarket, and Mt Albert. In buying one of the East Gwillimbury detached homes for sale, you are becoming a small part of this town's history, as well as reaping the benefits of this town's closeness to the amenities of the previously mentioned towns. Hospitals, shopping malls, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, banks, you name it... all of that is just a short drive outside of East Gwillimbury, while East Gwillimbury itself is host to a post office and a grocery store for your basic necessities.
To live in a detached home is to know true freedom in home ownership, for detached homes come in a large variety, ranging from bungalows and ranchers to sidesplits, backsplits, and mobile homes, along with plenty of other types. The types of residents these detached homes can accommodate are just as varied, from multi-member families to couples to bachelors/bachelorettes, and even budding business entrepreneurs. Detached homes often have very large yard space due to the land they sit on often being much more than what a condo or freehold townhome would sit on. Detached homes also often come with larger garages (especially when you start looking towards more country-styled homes), and unless it's a mobile home or similar, detached homes are usually multi-level. East Gwillimbury has lots of detached homes spread throughout the region for you to choose from, and regardless of which of the East Gwillimbury detached homes for sale you choose, nearly all of them will be close to a major roadway. All of the major roadways of East Gwillimbury lead to the larger towns and cities, which only helps lend to the fact that living in one of the detached homes here promotes the ability to travel near and far.
The Highway 404 is the primary arterial highway for East Gwillimbury, starting up near Maple Hill and going all the way down to the shores of Lake Ontario before curving west and becoming the Gardiner Expressway for downtown Toronto; living in any one of the East Gwillimbury detached homes for sale will have you close enough to this highway that you can jump on it and travel pretty much wherever you wish to. Leslie Street, which runs right through the town, can take you pretty much right to the shores of Lake Simcoe if you head north on it, while heading south on it can take you through Newmarket, Markham, North York, and all the way into Toronto. Mt Albert Road, which is the main road going east and west through East Gwillimbury, can take you to the nearby towns of Holland Landing and the actual town of Mt Albert. With all of this accessibility, anyone who is living in East Gwillimbury will find that they will actually want for very little, especially when you add in that there is a golf course (Shawneeki Golf Club) quite close to East Gwillimbury as well (in the event you wish to practice your swing or simply play a game or two).
